Wow, how quickly did that half term go. Well done to all, I think the whole group can now deliver a reasonable throw into the lineout. It’s also noted that our shape when bear crawling is becoming consistently better and you are able to hold it for a little longer. Re: Super Hero plank, if you want to practice it, please build your capacity over time. Maybe try 3 reps of 5 seconds on each side every other day and then after a week you could extend the 3rd rep by an extra 5 seconds to a maximum of 30 seconds over 5 weeks.
I hope with the game we play at the end of our sessions that players are learning that if they are supporting a ball carrier into contact and the ball carrier goes to ground, as the supporting player they can become a real asset for the team by protecting the ball from a turn over by the opposition: If they W _ _ the race for the _ _ ACE, CL _ _ E the _ OO_ and _ _ C _ it.
Now the weather is getting colder please remember that warm clothing is just common sense, and as it could get muddy a bin liner for kit after training or to sit on in the car ride home can make a positive difference. It’s also important that we keep bringing fluids and gum shields to training and my tip of the day as it gets cold is to wear a beanie which you will discover in time can be really effective in helping to regulate your body temperature.
Dates for the next half term are: 4th 11th 18th 25th November and 2nd 9th and 16th of December (£70).
If we do get rained or frozen off, we do have an online session that we will send out, please take your time to go through it. If we miss further sessions we will transfer credits to the following term.
Have a good half term see you after the clocks change.
With thanks Mike and Sue
